Assistant Professor Nanna Holmgaard List

Nanna H. List received her PhD in theoretical and computational chemistry from the University of Southern Denmark in 2016. Her PhD work focused on the development of quantum-based multiscale approaches and their application to the study of properties and processes in molecular systems in complex environments, such as photoactive proteins. She has received numerous awards for her contributions, including the Danish National Science Academy and the EliteForsk PhD awards. After a postdoctoral stay in the group of Todd J. Martínez (Stanford) working on different theoretical aspects of photoinduced dynamics, she joined the faculty at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in September 2021. Current research in her lab aims to develop and apply new methods that can explain and predict light-induced behavior in molecular systems, ranging from fundamental theoretical to more applied aspects.
