Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Executive Board of the International Union of Photobiology (IUPB), the Molecular and Experimental Pathology Society of Australasia (MEPSA), and the Local Organising Committee, we cordially invite you to attend the 18th International Congress on Photobiology, which will be held in Perth (Australia) from the 25th to the 30th August 2024.

This joint congress in the City of Light will provide a comprehensive international forum for the dissemination of the most recent research and technological developments in the photobiological sciences and in photomedicine. It will offer a unique opportunity to present the latest breakthroughs, exchange new ideas, and establish global and far-reaching collaborations.

The broadest possible coverage of the photobiological sciences will be achieved through symposia, keynote lectures, award lectures, and complemented by poster sessions and industry sessions. A large number of speaking opportunities will enable delegates to disseminate and discuss their research, thereby increasing its impact. In addition, there will be the opportunity to contribute and participate in interactive poster sessions. Young scientists and students will receive reduced fees for registration and the conference dinner.

Perth is synonymous with everything that is attractive about Australia, blending urban cool with raw natural beauty. With its immersive experiences and proximity to a range of daytrip destinations, Australia’s sunniest capital city is a place where relaxation and adventure go hand in hand.

The congress venue is the hotel Pan Pacific, Perth. It is very conveniently located within walking distance of the city centre and tourist attractions. It can be easily reached from the airport. Pan Pacific has excellent facilities that ensure a smooth running of the congress.

A final word to our sponsors, to whom this invitation is also warmly extended. Full recognition of your contributions will be made at the meeting as well as in Congress literature and on our website. Please see the Sponsorship page here.

We look forward to welcoming you in Perth, a wonderful place for a memorable meeting.
Kind Regards

Janet Bornman & Scott Byrne
