Katie is the Secretary of MEPSA and a Senior Lecturer in Anatomy and Histology at the University of Sydney where she leads the Sunlight and Cancer Group.

Katie’s research is focused on reducing the burden of skin cancer. Her team works to identify key events leading skin carcinogenesis so that these can be targeted with novel photoprotective agents. Katie has a background in vitamin D research, for prevention of skin cancer but also for inhibition of melanoma growth and metastasis.
