Professor Giorgia Miolo covers the position of Associate Professor of Medicinal Analysis at the University of Padova, Italy.

From 2019 she is vice-President of the International Union of Photobiology (IUPB) and Treasurer of the European Society for Photobiology (ESP), and in 2012 -2018 has been the President of the Italian Society of Photobiology (SIFB).

Her research activity focuses on the mechanistic aspects of photosensitizing compounds in phototherapy, the photoinduced drug toxicity and drug photostability.

She is the Author of 70 peer review international papers and of more than 100 communications at international and national congresses. Editor and Author of the multi authored Book of RSC Comprehensive Series in Photochemical and Photobiological Sciences’ “Light in Forensic Science, Issues and Applications”, 2018; Editor of “Sensors”, Book of Proceedings of the Fourth National Conference on Sensors, Springer, 2019.
