Charareh Pourzand holds a DSc in Cancer Biology and is a Fellow of Royal Society of Biology. She is a Reader in pharmaceutics at the Department of Life Sciences of the University of Bath where she also leads the Skin Photobiology Group and acts as the the ‘Director of Innovation’ at the ‘Centre For Therapeutic Innovation’ at the University level. Additionally she works as an Associate Dean at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Bath. Her group is internatonally recognised in the field of skin photoaging and photoprotection and she has multiple established collaborations with major global cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies. She co-chairs the international Skin@Bath Network and has several editorial roles in major journals in her field.
