Professor Buhong Li

Buhong Li is a professor of Biomedical Photonics at School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Hainan University, Haikou, China. He received his PhD degree in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2003. He was a visiting scientist in the Ontario Cancer Institute and University of Toronto from September 2005 to September 2007, and he worked as a senior visiting fellow in Institute of Physics of Humboldt University of Berlin from April 2014 to August 2014. His research focuses on optical monitoring techniques for enhanced photodynamic therapy, in particular for the spatiotemporal detection of singlet oxygen luminescence. He has authored or coauthored 130 international journal and invited conference papers, and contributed 4 book chapters. He is the associate editor of Nano Biomedicine and Engineering, and the editorial members of Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences and BMEMat.
